CB Developments was started in 1991 as a partnership between a Chartered Engineer, Chris Sawyer and a Sales and Marketing consultant, Brian Street. The original intention was to examine the possibilities of designing and marketing a device that would provide a simple, but effective method of deflating tyres for off-road use.

At the time Chris was working as a vehicle design consultant working principally for the Watford-based heavy vehicle manufacturer Unipower. Brian was engaged in marketing various military-based products.

The first prototype was designed and manufactured by Chris and within a short time Brian had secured a contract with the British Army to supply the valves in two large logistic vehicle fleets. This was the start of the CB Tyre Deflation Valve and the Lo-Flo Adapter.

In the intervening years, the ability to deflate tyres has been combined with other complimentary products for re-inflating tyres on vehicles of all sizes. Other innovative products have been developed over the years, some of which are shown on this website and some of which are quietly sleeping awaiting their time.

CB Developments are a worldwide supplier to outlets ranging from 4×4 specialists to major military customers and utilities.

Whilst acknowledging the opportunities of a global market to source the best components, CB products are designed, developed and manufactured in the UK and use the absolute maximum of UK content.
