Since 1975, employed by Scammell/Leyland, Unipower and as an independent consultant on the design, development and testing of wheeled military vehicles.

MoD projects include : 8t 4X4, Low and Medium Mobility Recovery, DROPS IMMLC and MMLC, Refuelers, Airfield Fire Crash Tenders, Tank Transporters, 6X6 RE Plant Dumper, 4t 4X4, BR90 Bridging Vehicles.

Also all Cargo Vehicles including HET, Future Fuel Vehicle (FFV), Future Cargo Vehicle (FCV), Future Wheeled Recovery Vehicle (FWRV). All aspects of tendering and submission to MoD.

Overseas projects include:
Tank Transporters, 12X8 Bridging Vehicles, 8X8 Beach Landing Truck, 4X4 Amphibious Bridging Vehicle, 6X6 Tank Recovery Truck.

Employed by Scammell Motors from 1975 to 1987 on the design development and testing of special purpose heavy and military recovery vehicles.

Employed as Company Engineer by Wreckers International from 1987 to 1989 involved with the design and testing of civilian recovery vehicles of all sizes. Conducting proof load testing of vehicles and cranes. Demonstrating recovery vehicles on site and including air bag recovery. Instructed as a consultant in the design of normal and special vehicle recovery systems. Design of innovative recovery vehicles and equipment.

Writing technical articles for a vehicle recovery magazines.
